- Friday Job Description The foreman ensures smooth plant operations, minimizes downtime, and keeps production on schedule by combining hands-on mechanical work with day-to-day team leadership and workflow coordination.
The position requires an individual with experience in mechanical systems, conveyor equipment, and production line operations, along with the ability to plan, prioritize, and respond quickly to issues on the floor. Responsibilities Lead and supervise 15-30 union production team members on 2nd shift, working alongside them on the floor. Plan and coordinate production activities to keep the plant running efficiently and meet production deadlines. Monitor and prioritize workflow across production lines to ensure on-time completion of jobs. Assign tasks and production jobs to team members based on priorities and skill sets. Work hands-on with conveyor systems, including gears and belts, to keep lines operating smoothly. Perform troubleshooting on conveyor systems and other machinery when equipment goes down. Essential Skills 5-10 years of relevant experience in a hands-on mechanical or foreman role within an industrial or production environment. Strong mechanical aptitude, including extensive experience using hand and power tools. Proven experience working with conveyor systems, including gears, belts, and related mechanical components. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery and conveyor systems under time pressure. Experience planning production activities and keeping a plant or production line running efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience as a hands-on foreman or similar leadership role in an industrial facility. Comfort working directly with union team members in a collaborative, on-the-floor leadership capacity. Ability to communicate clearly with both production staff and leadership regarding progress, issues, and needs. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, lines, and priorities during a shift. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mc Kees Rocks, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00
- $75000.00/yr. Gordon Terminal has a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision. The candidates pay out of pocket at most every month is $118.77/month with a family, individually it would be $39.69/month for benefits Individually
