Job Opportunity:
Machine Shop Supervisor We're looking for a motivated and knowledgeable leader to manage weekend operations in our CNC machining area. This role blends hands-on technical oversight with team leadership to keep production running smoothly, safely, and with precision. If you enjoy mentoring skilled tradespeople and fine-tuning manufacturing processes, we want to hear from you.What You'll Do:
Direct daily shop floor activities for CNC machine operators, ensuring work is prioritized effectively and completed on time. Guide machinists through setups, production runs, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal equipment performance. Review machining programs and tool setups to minimize errors and downtime. Coordinate closely with engineering and quality teams to address process or part-related issues. Support safety, quality, and efficiency through regular team briefings and job audits. Track and document shift productivity, attendance, and personnel performance. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to strengthen skills and encourage career growth. Help implement 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement projects to keep operations organized and effective. Ensure machines are properly maintained and operated in accordance with company and safety standards.What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical certification is a plus. Ability to work weekends with at least 5 years of CNC machining experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proficiency with mill and lathe operation, G-code interpretation, tool offsets, and machine troubleshooting. Solid ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for machining environments. Demonstrated leadership ability, including training and coaching teams in a production setting. Strong communication and organizational skills. Exposure to Lean/5S concepts and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.What We Offer:
