Job Description

Manufacturing SupervisorClassification:
Non ExemptReports To:
Production ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesSupervise, train, and manage production employees.

Oversee daily production activities, workflow, and employee assignments.

Prepare production schedules to support efficient operations.

Ensure production targets for safety, quality, and quantity are met.

Ensure sanitation procedures are completed properly and approved by Quality Assurance.

Monitor production processes and maintain knowledge of equipment and machinery.

Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with Maintenance when equipment problems arise.

Ensure products are properly identified, weighed, and stored.

Ensure employees follow all applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

Ensure production paperwork, reports, and documentation are completed accurately.

Assist with internal and external audit preparation and execution.

Maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.

Identify and report actual or potential food safety concerns to management.

Take appropriate action to address food safety issues within the scope of the position.

Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Delegate tasks and prioritize work to maintain efficient production operations.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:3+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, processing, quality, or a related field.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Food or dairy manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of production processes and equipment.

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced production environment.

Experience with production documentation and reporting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.

EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree preferred.

Physical RequirementsAbility to walk and move throughout the production facility for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Ability to work in a production environment and interact directly with production employees and equipment.
