Job Description
Join our client's team as a Plant Supervisor supporting a food manufacturing facility in Gloucester County, New Jersey . They are looking for a hands-on leader who wants to build a long-term career and be part of a growing, team-oriented operation. This role oversees daily production activities while helping ensure production schedules are met, food safety standards are maintained, and operational goals are achieved. Prior leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment, preferably dairy or bakery, is required. Day Shift with some Saturdays. Bilinqual candidates preferred but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise daily plant operations to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are achieved Lead, coach, and develop production employees across the facility Monitor production schedules, labor utilization, and operational efficiencies Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and company policies and procedures Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, and leadership teams to minimize downtime and improve plant performance Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture on the production floor Ensure employees follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment Assist with employee training, onboarding, and performance management initiatives Qualifications 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing Food manufacturing experience required, dairy or bakery experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience working in fast-paced production environments Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and manufacturing operations Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams Experience with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems preferred Why consider this opportunity?
