Job Description

Since 1971, Hydromotion has combined engineering expertise with precision manufacturing to create industry-leading fluid and electric transition components. We are looking for a Hydraulic Assembly Supervisor to lead daily operations within our hydraulic assembly area and help ensure products are built safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting employees, coordinating workflow, solving problems, and helping the team succeed. If you enjoy leading people, improving processes, and keeping production moving, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll DoLeadership Responsibilities Lead and support employees responsible for hydraulic cylinder and component assembly Assign work and coordinate daily activities to support production schedules and customer requirements Train, coach, and develop employees to improve technical capability and overall performance Assist with onboarding and ensure employees receive appropriate process and safety training Address performance concerns and provide input into employee evaluations and development discussions Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and company valuesOperations Responsibilities Execute production schedules and monitor workflow to meet customer commitments Ensure assemblies meet required specifications, drawings, and quality standards Coordinate labor, tools, materials, and workspace to support production efficiency Identify and resolve day-to-day production issues while escalating complex concerns as needed Partner with Production Control, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support production flow Support Lean initiatives including 5S, standard work, and continuous improvement activities Review production output and maintain required records related to labor, throughput, and efficiency Communicate material needs and support readiness for scheduled work Provide hands-on support as needed to help the team meet production goalsWhat We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred, ideally within hydraulics, heavy equipment, or related industries Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and blueprint interpretation Ability to coordinate workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, and safety procedures Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and ERP systems Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles preferredWhy You'll Like This Role Opportunity to directly impact production and team success Hands-on leadership role with visible results Collaborative environment across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance Opportunity to develop employees and help shape culture Ability to drive process improvements and operational excellenceSupervisory ResponsibilityDirectly supervises approximately 510 employees within the Assembly and Paint departments and supports performance, development, and day-to-day operations in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.

Work EnvironmentThis position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, noise, and varying temperatures. Required PPE may include safety glasses, hearing protection, and other required safety equipment.

Physical RequirementsEmployees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees regularly use hands and arms for tools, equipment, and materials and may occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
