Position Summary Under the general direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planning Supervisor is responsible for aligning internal and external customer demand with available production capacity to ensure accurate and executable production plans for Dry Dispersions, Wet Dispersions, Lake, and PVAP products manufactured at the West Point site. The Production Planning Supervisor will manage these product lines to support business requirements, proactively identify and resolve supply chain risks and issues and ensure consistent product availability. This role contributes to the S&OP process through data analysis, forecast and sales review, and trend identification. Responsibilities & Duties Oversee planning activities for Dry Dispersions, Wet Dispersions, Lake, and PVAP production ensuring production plans align with demand. Direct and lead the production planning team. Ensure proper coordination with international Colorcon locations for intercompany stock requirements. Analyze internal and external customer demand compared to production plan and finished goods inventory. Identify and help resolve issues related to raw material shortages or changes, production capacity constraints, product launches, increased or unexpected demand, internal communication, and project or process changes. Review sales history, forecasts, and relevant data to support the monthly S&OP process. Communicate requests with Commercial Team and/or Intercompany Planner to update internal forecast systems as needed. Calculate and report On-Time-Shipment (OTS) metrics and maintain the OTS commentary within Oracle. Calculate and report schedule adherence goal and metrics. Prepare finished goods inventory numbers to support financial reviews. Coordinate and conduct monthly business review of product lines. Maintain close communication with Procurement and Customer Care to support raw material availability, forecast accuracy, and order validation. Proactively contribute to process improvement projects and cost saving initiatives. Support Supply Chain Manager and peers with strategic planning initiatives and provide analytical support as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; or equivalent production planning experience in a manufacturing environment required. Minimum of 2 years of production planning or scheduling experience preferably within a regulated or batch manufacturing operation. Minimum 1 year of experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or training others with demonstrated ability to prioritize work, provide direction, and escalate risks appropriately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required Oracle or SAP ERP experience strongly preferred. Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred with demonstrated application of continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to analyze data, balance demand and capacity, and develop executable production plans. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
