Production Supervisor Job Description This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to grasp the technical aspects of manufacturing operations. A demonstrated ability in employee supervision is essential, including coaching, discipline, and discharge responsibilities. Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is preferred, but candidates with experience in other industries such as textiles are also encouraged to apply, provided they have experience in machine operations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of production associates and machine operators. Conduct employee evaluations and development coaching. Operate, repair, and maintain manufacturing machines. Ensure quality assurance and control through visual inspections. Oversee the implementation of safety and production protocols. Manage a 12-hour rotating schedule, alternating between day and night shifts. Essential Skills 3-5+ years of recent or current production supervisor experience. Proficiency in operating, repairing, and maintaining machines. Experience in managing, coaching, and developing a team. Strong decision-making skills and confidence in leading a team. Prior experience in plastics manufacturing or similar industries. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing operations.
