Production Shift Leader

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Supervises the production operations team overseeing all functions of planning, scheduling, demands, assembly, and operations. Implements strategies meant to improve the organization's financial performance and competitive positioning through continuous improvement of production-related processes. Identifies manufacturing processes or procedures that could benefit from process improvement or efficiency optimization and approves the implementation of changes. As part of a hardworking team of technicians and engineers, you will build human-rated orbital launch vehicles. Our team builds the fuel tanks for the Glenn 1st and 2nd stages. In this role, supported by your shift manager you will directly (solid-line) lead and supervise technicians and coordinate (dotted-line) additional teammates such as manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, production controllers, schedulers, etc. You will have ultimate and full responsibility for successfully orchestrating your crew and building 1st and 2nd stage fuel tanks.

Guide teammates and ensure that each person has everything necessary to succeed. Champion continued learning and growth to attract, develop, and retain great people. Conduct regular check-ins to ensure team member performance, fulfillment, and growth. Author job descriptions, screen candidates, and conduct interviews. Make hiring recommendations. Develop and implement process, efficiency, and safety improvements. Prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.

Paid Time Off:
Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
