Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and supervise on-site erection of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and structural steel, including purlins, girts, eave struts, secondary framing, roof and wall panel installation.

Coordinate steel fabrication, shop drawing reviews, and field-to-shop communication to ensure parts and assemblies are delivered to site per project specifications and sequence.

Develop, manage and execute erection sequencing, temporary bracing and shoring plans, anchor bolt setting, and concrete foundation/anchor installation coordination with concrete crews.

Oversee quality assurance/quality control procedures, including blueprint interpretation, shop drawing verification, laser leveling, field layout and surveying, structural bolting and proper torqueing, and welding inspection practices.

Ensure site safety and regulatory compliance: implement fall protection plans, OSHA compliance, permit coordination, site inspections and code compliance, and maintain safety documentation.

Oversee installation of insulation, vapor barriers, flashing, trim and roofing systems, and coordinate with mechanical/electrical trades to ensure integrated installation.

Prepare and maintain daily reports, quality documentation, erection records, equipment logs, and material tracking; facilitate handover and closeout documentation.

Collaborate with fabrication shop and BIM/Revit/CAD teams to interpret drawings, resolve fabrication or field conflicts, and optimize erection sequencing and logistics.

QualificationsMinimum 7+ years of hands-on superintendent or foreman experience on industrial, PEMB or structural steel projects; demonstrated track record of leading metal building erections.

Strong knowledge of pre-engineered metal buildings, structural steel erection, steel fabrication coordination, and shop drawing review.

Proficient in blueprint reading, field layout and surveying, erection sequencing, laser leveling, and structural bolting/torqueing procedures.

Familiarity with welding processes (MIG/TIG) and Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) knowledge or experience preferred.

Experience coordinating crane operations, rigging, hoisting and lifting plans, telehandler and forklift operations, and overhead crane/monorail systems.

Working knowledge of concrete foundations, anchor bolt setting, temporary bracing/shoring and concrete anchor installation.

Experience with insulation, vapor barrier, flashing, trim and metal roofing system installations.

Proficient with project scheduling and control tools (Primavera and/or MS Project), and basic estimating and cost control principles.

Proficient in managing subcontractors, processing RFIs and change orders, and maintaining QA/QC and punch lists.

Familiarity with BIM/Revit and CAD drawing interpretation and experience coordinating with fabrication shops.

Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards, permit coordination, site inspections and fall protection planning.
