  • Second Shift Job Summary Are you the type of person who is passionate about leading and developing a team to meet key metrics and satisfy customers?
In this role you will lead all activities of the assigned team, including safety, quality, fulfillment, cost, and inventory. We're looking for a process-oriented leader who is passionate about serving others and enabling their success. What You'll Do 1. Supervise, organize, mentor and coach assigned team members in performance of their duties while influencing others to carry the Vermeer culture forward. Establish and monitor individual and team goals which are aligned with the organization's strategies and objectives to drive key business results. Use expertise to ensure the team is serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations. 2. Manage all aspects of assigned area including, but not limited to, projects, production, costs, scheduling, shipping, receiving and quality. Ensure on-time delivery of the product, within budget, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations. 3. Drive root cause problem solving to address vendor, supplier and customer issues concerning quality and delivery. 4. Lead the development and implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement projects to improve cost, quality, and safety standards for assigned area. 5. Ensure safety and accountability of team members in assigned area. Ensure execution of countermeasures to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Scorecard requirements. 6. Manage required documentation to meet Vermeer internal and external regulations. 7. Encourage team member development and engagement. Create an environment for team members to learn and grow. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum one year manufacturing experience or minimum five years' experience in manufacturing.
  • Continuous improvement experience preferred. Understanding of lean principles.
  • Passion for leading others in alignment with the Vermeer characteristics and behaviors.
  • Ability to own workforce planning including staffing levels, cross-training strategy, and schedule optimization to meet customer demand.
  • Demonstrated understanding of performance metrics including, but not limited to, safety, quality, fulfillment, cost and inventory.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of equipment and machinery operation.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred. Travel
