Job Description

Job Summary Bristol Pipe and Tube is seeking a Shift Supervisor to provide leadership, motivation, training and skill development of production personnel. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pipe producing equipment, and communication between management and production personnel to assure products are manufactured to the appropriate specifications in a timely manner. Must be willing to train on day shift before moving to night shift. Principle Duties
  • Carry out production priorities established by management
  • Monitor shift personnel ensuring work instruction guidelines for each area are followed
  • Performing all responsibilities per the procedures and instructions published under the ISO Quality System
  • Requisitioning, staging necessary material and supplies in a timely manner
  • Observing, guiding, monitoring shift personnel team behavior and correcting behavior/techniques as needed
  • Ensure production personnel are producing the scheduled product and the product meets Quality standards
  • Ensure production records are complete and accurate
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings with employees
  • Other duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform a variety of engineering and math calculations related to processes, tolerances, and production planning and control
  • Five years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Education High School Diploma required; some college preferred
