Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Production Supervisor for a top automotive manufacturing client. This individual will oversee 1st shift assembly operations and lead a team within a high-volume production environment. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes ownership of operational challenges, and is comfortable making critical decisions. Responsibilities include supervising production teams, coaching leaders, monitoring safety and performance metrics, analyzing manufacturing data, managing payroll and timekeeping, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and contributing to a culture where employees are valued and supported.
Day-to-Day:
  •  Supervise 1st shift assembly production operations supporting approximately 100 employees
  •  Report directly to the Production Manager and serve as the primary floor-level operations leader
  •  Manage employee timekeeping and payroll processing through ADP
  •  Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and Line Leaders
  •  Analyze machine activity and production efficiency using manufacturing software
  •  Monitor production metrics, safety, quality, and operational performance
  •  Identify production issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
  •  Prioritize shifting production needs and resolve daily operational challenges
  •  Provide feedback and recommendations to improve processes and overall shift performance

  •  2+ years experience leading a production team in an OEM/Tier 1 manufacturing environment
  •  Strong people-first leader with proven ability to coach, develop, and hold Team Leaders and Line Leaders accountable for performance and growth
  •  Experience utilizing production software and manufacturing data to monitor efficiency, analyze performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  •  Experience partnering closely with Production Managers for continuous process improvement
  •  Strong operational skills including monitoring production metrics, safety oversight, timekeeping and payroll, and prioritizing multiple issues in a high-volume assembly environment
  •  Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  •  ADP for payroll processing
