Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor directs and manages department function in order to drive safety, quality, cost, delivery and morals throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Direct and motivate team members in their daily work utilizing tools such as daily team meetings effectively. 2. Schedule work flow with team members to meet production requirements, including any necessary overtime. 3. Spend a significant amount of time on the floor auditing processes and implementing corrective actions. 4. Administer the plant handbook/guidebook, policies, and procedures consistently and fairly. 5. Ensure employees have proper training and documentation of processes is current. The Production Supervisor is responsible for to maintain all job functions, safety, quality and housekeeping for their area. 6. Conduct performance evaluations and help team members set goals 7. Lead by example in promoting team involvement for continuous improvement 8. Communicate effectively with internal suppliers, customers, and other shifts in the department to ensure production schedules are met and quality product delivered 9. Must maintain positive employee relations. 10. Monitor accuracy of reporting including timekeeping, attendance, and production records. 11. Participates in safety training as position requires and observes all plant safety rules. 12. Keep direct reports regularly informed (through department meetings and one on one discussions of company policies, practices, and procedures and ensure corrective action is promptly taken when required). 13. Ensure employees have sufficient job training and information to efficiently perform their tasks. 14. Other assignments or tasks as requested by the Manufacturing Manager.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Associates degree in Business, Engineering or related field from an accredited University or College preferred. 2. 3 years related Manufacturing experience. 3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). 4. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy. 5. Must be willing to travel, possibly overnight. 6. Must maintain strict confidentiality. 7.
Excellent computer skills:
Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
