$85,000-$95,000 plus bonus potential Apply now! Position Summary Growing Manufacturing company is seeking a results-oriented General Manager to lead all aspects of our textile and sewing manufacturing operations. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing production, quality assurance, workforce development, safety, inventory management, customer fulfillment, and overall financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background with experience managing production teams, optimizing operational efficiencies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This leader will be accountable for meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, improving profitability, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence. Essential Responsibilities Operations & Production Management Direct all daily manufacturing operations, including cutting, sewing, finishing, quality control, shipping, and inventory management. Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements. Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and throughput. Ensure equipment, machinery, and facility resources are properly maintained to minimize downtime. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, and delivery. Leadership & Workforce Development Recruit, hire, train, and develop supervisors, team leads, and production employees. Foster a positive workplace culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to maximize employee performance. Lead workforce planning efforts to ensure appropriate staffing levels for production demands. Financial Management Maintain full responsibility for plant profit and loss (P&L) performance. Develop and manage annual budgets, labor plans, and operational expenses. Monitor labor efficiency, production costs, waste reduction, and inventory levels. Identify opportunities to improve profitability through process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensure all products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. Develop and maintain quality control processes and corrective action programs. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and operational excellence. Analyze production data and implement solutions to improve performance and product quality. Customer & Supply Chain Management Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment. Manage raw material inventory and supplier relationships to support production requirements. Resolve customer concerns related to quality, delivery, and production issues. Support business growth initiatives by improving operational capabilities and customer satisfaction. Safety & Compliance Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Promote a culture of workplace safety through training, communication, and accountability. Ensure compliance with all applicable employment, environmental, and manufacturing regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions when necessary. Qualifications Required 5+ years of leadership experience in textile manufacturing, sewing operations, apparel production, industrial manufacturing, or a related production environment. Proven experience managing production teams, supervisors, and plant operations. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, labor management, quality systems, and production planning. Experience with budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and P&L accountability. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with ERP, MRP, or manufacturing software systems. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies. Knowledge of textile, sewn products, apparel, or soft goods manufacturing environments. Experience implementing quality management systems and production metrics.
