Position Summary The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of their assigned production area, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards. This position provides hands-on leadership by coordinating team activities, supporting employee development, solving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement efforts. The Group Leader works closely with other departments to maintain production flow while meeting company objectives for safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company policies and addressing safety concerns promptly. Direct day-to-day activities within the Lamination Pulling, Grinding, and Parts Inspection departments. Assign work, monitor progress, and adjust staffing or priorities to meet production demands. Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement. Verify that products meet quality expectations and resolve issues that could impact workmanship or production schedules. Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Train new employees and encourage cross-training to strengthen team flexibility. Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company standards while providing timely feedback and documentation. Maintain accurate production records and communicate shift performance, priorities, and concerns to leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of five years of experience in fiberglass lamination or a related manufacturing environment preferred. At least three years of experience leading or supervising production employees. Strong understanding of fiberglass manufacturing processes, quality expectations, and production workflow. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems. Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, build positive working relationships, and achieve production goals.
