Job:
The production manager is responsible for all aspects of production documentation. We are looking for an experienced production manager that can help schedule our production in our shop, working hand in hand with department leads and an operations manager. First shift and second shift production managers must work together to ensure continuity of work flow/turn over each afternoon/morning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reconcile time cards both for daily jobs and weekly payroll. 2. Present safety meetings and prepare safety documentation on a monthly, yearly, and as needed basis. 3. Verify that the production schedule is being updated daily by the leads and that the updates are accurate. 4. Oversee standard shop projects that are not billable jobs, i.e.
  • Building Fixtures, Shelving, Etc.
5. Ensure employees have completed OJT sign offs before beginning a new job or beginning work. 6. Print/Put out Job Packets from our ERP system onto the floor with all necessary information to department leads. 7. Attend production meetings and communicate with sales/shipping to determine dates product will be available to ship. 8. Respond to emails from Sales/Office staff requesting approximate dates for products to ship. 9. Other duties assigned as needed. Education /
Experience:
1. College Degree 2. Experience in manufacturing, especially in a job shop type setting. 3. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. Bilingual (English/Spanish) 6. Good time management skills. 7. Driven, self-starter. 8. Attention to detail. 9. Sound decision maker 10. Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
