Production Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift Meyer Utility Structures, LLC - 3.0 Fort Worth, TX Job Details 14 hours ago Qualifications Blueprint reading Full Job Description Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Production Supervisor at our Fort Worth, TX plant. The Production Supervisor will oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of the output from the employees working on their team. The supervisor is also responsible for exhibiting a strong working knowledge of all machine machinery, equipment, and processes. The Production Supervisor will manage their departments and work to achieve plant goals while maintaining a high safety, quality, and productivity standard at the Fort Worth, TX facility. Schedule:
Must be able to work a flexible shift. (Monday- Friday) and/or (Friday- Sunday)
What You'll Do:
Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and protocols, serve on safety committees, and complete regular safety audits. Manage daily production operations of heavy industrial products for assigned work groups. Set production schedules based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and quality metrics. Coach employees on work quality and quantity such as fit-up and welding processes, ensuring goals are met and solving issues as they arise and are identified. Ensure the production of sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production cost. Assist in continuous improvement activities to improve the movement of materials through various production processes. Manage hourly employees, monitor, and approve timesheets and work logs. Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper training is completed. Manage all aspects of fit-up and welding processes for assigned work groups and production bays, ensuring that production policies and procedures are strictly adhered to by all employees.
What You'll Need:
Associate degree or equivalent education; and 5 years minimum prior relevant work experience Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, specifically with flux and or metal core welding is highly preferred. Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts preferably related to transmission poles. Demonstrate dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics through previous professional work experience. Regular and predictable attendance, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal. MUS276
