Production Supervisor Location:
Fort Worth, TX M&M Manufacturing™ ("M&M") is one of the companies that are part of Marmon Plumbing and Refrigeration. They are one of the country's largest producers of sheet metal products: they primarily service the air distribution and ventilation market. They provide a comprehensive range of ductwork, fittings and accessories for residential and commercial construction.
What You'll Do:
Manages a production area to meet production schedules, quality, and cost objectives through subordinate team leader staff. Develops manpower requirements for assigned areas. Responsible for the direction and leadership of the production operations. Identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action and direct the performance of program functional task elements such as quality assurance, safety, and training. Ensure team is adhering to safety policies while continuously pushing safety as a top priority throughout the Plant Identifies and communicates safety issues that impacts the Company Complies with establishes safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and implement the Company's safety policies Maintain production objectives to meet customer demand while balancing production costs. Evaluate various areas of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency Recognize and takes steps to resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on the operations Provides communication and dissemination of information amongst employees Cooperate with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship always exists Oversee and coach employees Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention. Reviews the performance and personal development of all employees Establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence with employees Supports and sustain a culture of continuous improvement (CI) across all areas of the Plant.
What You'll Need:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent 3 plus years' experience in managing a team, 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility
Production Management:
Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment.
Quality Control:
Experience with quality control procedures and standards.
Safety Regulations:
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Lean Manufacturing:
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and motivate employees. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address and resolve production challenges. Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
