General :

Assistant production manager role involves coordinating daily operations, managing a team, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in composite materials, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Manage in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily SMC production activities to ensure targets are met.

Responsible for leading the team's production efforts for products, technical knowledge and experience are required.

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support related to SMC production processes.

Implement and maintain quality control measures; analyze production data and provide recommendations for improvement.

Supervise production staff, providing training and support to enhance performance and ensure a safe working environment.

Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency; lead initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Enforce safety protocols and practices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Assist in managing raw material inventory, including ordering and tracking sub-materials to ensure smooth operations.

Prepare regular reports on production metrics, quality issues, and team performance for management review.

Provide flexible time management to cover production schedule and inventory / quality control.

Responsible for supporting audits such as cost audit and process audit.

Responsible for production inventory management including SAP and MES.

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to achieving the team's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Take responsibility in the absence of a manager

Required Education and Experience:

Strong collaborative skills and effective communication in a team environment.

Proficient in compiling information and reporting to relevant members in a timely manner.

Collect and organize data in an orderly fashion to easily accessible and used for future programs.

Order and track equipment and material for manufacturing facility.

Create and maintain schedules to coordinate personnel, materials, and equipment for a seamless process launch.

Preference for candidates with knowledge of thermoforming, thermoset molding, or related technical materials and technologies.

Experience with SAP or MES operations is preferred.

Knowledge of tool and equipment design, automation, robotics, or manufacturing processes for assembly process.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and data management for reporting purposes.

Proficient in computer usage and possess strong presentation skills.

A degree in engineering or a related technical field such as industrial equipment is required.

Ability to work effectively in a factory environment.

Comfortable navigating the factory floor, utilizing stairs, and engaging in related activities, in addition to working in an administrative setting.

Work during weekends and holidays to meet customer demands and/or support the company's audit periods.
