Job Description

Overview Poly-America, L.P. is seeking a Technical Laboratory Supervisor to organize workflows, develop employees and establish quality control guidelines. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags and construction films. Responsibilities Responsible for the operation, administration, technical supervision and management of the laboratory. Conduct quality tests, organize and implement corporate quality systems, and develop and write procedures related to these systems. Ensure accurate evaluation, interpretation, and verification of analyses performed in the laboratory. Responsible for reviewing, editing, and revising existing procedures and documents. Maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment; including FTIR, GC, TGA, and DSC. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Plastic Engineering preferred. Laboratory/Quality Assurance experience of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment. Must have experience maintaining and repairing the following laboratory equipment; FTIR, GC, TGA, and DSC. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and lead personnel. Experience with research project management. Skills in statistics and procedure implementation preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, vlookups) is preferred.
