Who You Are:

What You Will Do:
Communicate management expectations and direction clearly to the production team
Train, direct, and motivate employees; provide feedback and recommendations to management
Partner with the Plant Manager to supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities, including cutting, tempering, laminating, fabricating, polishing, insulated glass production, and loading operations
Oversee training for new and existing employees, including work methods, safety procedures, and company policies
Inspect products to ensure compliance with company specifications; direct machine setup and adjustments as needed
Support performance management processes, including reviews, disciplinary actions, and coaching conversations
Participate in interviewing, hiring, and termination processes as needed
Drive employee retention, engagement, and development initiatives
Act as the first line of support for resolving operational issues and maintaining workflow efficiency
Ensure on-time production and delivery while managing raw materials and inventory levels
Maintain compliance with product specifications, safety standards, OSHA regulations, and employment laws
Complete accurate and timely production reporting
Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external customers, and regulatory agencies
Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring adherence to PPE requirements and safe work practices at all times
Promote and maintain a safe working environment
Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement opportunities
Apply Lean manufacturing principles and support 5S initiatives
Ensure all processes are followed correctly to maintain high-quality standards
Skills You Bring:
High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred
5+ years of leadership experience, including 2+ years in direct supervision in a manufacturing plant
Glass fabrication experience a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and strong computer skills
Proven leadership in fast-paced manufacturing environments
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Excellent communication, organization, and team development skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise assigned employees and communicate management expectations
Train, coach, and motivate team members
Provide performance feedback and make recommendations to management regarding employee development
