Responsibilities Lone Star Turbo is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Stand Operator to support our Quality and Manufacturing teams through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and equipment performance validation. In this role, you will execute testing procedures, monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure compressors and blowers meet project specifications and customer expectations before shipment. You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) based on project quality plans Monitor and record equipment performance data during testing Verify compressor and blower performance against acceptance criteria Measure and evaluate bearing temperatures using RTDs and surface temperature readings Collect and analyze vibration data using accelerometers and proximity probes Monitor compressor head, suction/discharge pressures, and temperatures Perform train alignment and soft foot checks Identify visible leaks or mechanical issues during testing Support troubleshooting efforts related to compressor/blower performance Interpret engineering drawings including wiring, GA, and manufacturing drawings Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality departments Maintain safe operating practices around low and medium voltage equipment Qualifications Technical training, mechanical experience, or relevant industrial experience preferred. Required Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Basic understanding of rotating equipment and industrial machinery Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment Strong time management and organizational skills Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Preferred Experience with compressor and blower operations Experience performing vibration analysis Experience using accelerometers and proximity probes Familiarity with VFD setup and operation Experience working in industrial manufacturing or testing environments Skills Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to identify performance issues and abnormalities Strong communication and collaboration Time management and prioritization Safety-focused mindset Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and dependable
