Cabinet Assembly Lead Overview:
The Cabinet Assembly Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the assembly of cabinets, ensuring that production goals are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities:
Supervision:
Lead and supervise a team of cabinet assemblers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure that production schedules are met. Cabinet Assembly:
Perform cabinet assembly tasks, including but not limited to cutting, sanding, drilling, and fastening components, to ensure timely completion of orders. Demonstrate proper assembly techniques and coach team members to achieve high-quality results. Quality Control:
Conduct inspections of assembled cabinets to verify alignment, fit, and finish. Identify and address any defects or discrepancies to ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer expectations. Workflow Coordination:
Coordinate assembly activities to optimize workflow and maximize productivity. Collaborate with other departments, such as manufacturing, finishing, and shipping, to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies used in cabinet assembly. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory and prevent stockouts. Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct safety training sessions, inspections, and audits to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance. Equipment Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and repair of assembly equipment, such as saws, drills, and fastening tools. Schedule routine maintenance and troubleshoot any mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inventory transactions, and quality inspection reports. Generate regular reports on production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and quality performance. Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cabinet assembly or a related field, with demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory or lead role. Technical Skills:
Proficient in cabinet assembly techniques and processes, including reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and interpreting specifications. Experience with custom and modular cabinetry is preferred. Leadership Abilities:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members. Proven experience in team building, performance management, and conflict resolution. Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Ability to identify and address quality issues and ensure that finished products meet specifications and standards. Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Education:
