Job Description
Supervisors are required to work overtime as part of the role. Contractors are eligible for bonuses related to weekend coverage. Upon full-time conversion, supervisors are eligible for additional incentives/benefits. Initial contract period expected to be approximately 90 days, with the intention to convert to full-time based on performance and business need. The Manufacturing Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and controlling direct functions within the manufacturing shop, in addition to managing and coordinating process improvement projects.
- Trains or coaches employees on administrative or technical processes and procedures.
- Ensures the safety of employees.
- Ensures that workers have the necessary equipment and prints to perform their duties.
- Resolves production issues and escalates those that require management attention.
- Educates employees on quality standards and procedures.
- Develop work instructions and procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Conduct performance review and formal performance/career development discussions with direct reports.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
