Role:

We're seeking an experienced Production Supervisor at at our optical manufacturing facility in Plano, TX. Prior relevant experience is necessary.

Schedules:

Our 2nd/night shifts work 3 days/week and 4 days off. Perfect for those wanting to restructure non-work hours or minimize commutes.

Shift 2A works: Sundays through Tuesdays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)Shift 2B works: Wednesdays through Fridays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)Pay & extras: Competitive pay, bonus opportunities, a generous PTO plan and many other benefits.

Job DescriptionGeneral Summary:

Responsible for supervising the daily functions of production departments including meeting production goals, daily goals, hiring and development of staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for associates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages Jobs per Hour in production departmentsSupervises activities in assigned department(s), ensuring work flow and proper utilization of associatesEnsures older jobs are processed in a timely mannerResolves breakage issues to keep breakages lowConducts root cause analysis to timely identify issues and minimize disruption to production levelsProcess and review daily reportsManages lens and frame inventory as requiredWorks to ensure other departments within the lab maintain a steady work flow and works with other department supervisors and production manager to resolve interdepartmental issuesTrains lead associates, oversees associate training and cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the departmentPerforms administrative functions including Interviewing and selecting associates, reviewing associate performance, addressing issues, monitoring attendance, scheduling work and vacation timeImplements SOPs, department policies and procedures; enforces all Company Policies and ProceduresQualificationsNo specific education level requiredMust demonstrate 3 to 5 years directly related experiencePrior supervisory experience is necessaryBeginner to intermediate knowledge of MS Office including word and excelMust be able to read and write EnglishAdditional InformationNational Vision offers a competitive benefits package.
