General Summary The Foreman will supervise and coordinate the daily activities of skilled workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and safety regulations. Role and Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate a team of workers in specialized trade.
- Ensure that work is completed according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Review and interpret blueprints, project plans, and other technical documents to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Assign and delegate tasks to crew members based on skill levels and project requirements.
- Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to project managers or supervisors.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and correct any issues as needed.
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members to develop their skills and improve team performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available and properly maintained for efficient project completion.
- Collaborate with other trades and project teams to ensure smooth project flow and timely completion.
- Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues quickly and professionally to avoid project delays. Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in specialty trade is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in the specialty trade industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, project management, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Physical stamina to work on job sites and perform manual labor when required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Skills
- Certification in OSHA safety training or other relevant trade certifications.
- Experience with project scheduling software or tools. Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed on job sites, which may include varying weather conditions and environments.
- Occasional travel may be required based on project location.
- Some physical labor may be involved
- Ability to lift items over 20 pounds, including lifting and carrying materials.
- The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
