Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Sheet Metal Installer and become a vital part of constructing and installing high-quality metal components for a variety of building projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on commercial, residential, and industrial sites, utilizing your expertise in sheet metal fabrication, installation, and related construction skills. As a Sheet Metal Installer, you will be responsible for ensuring precise measurements, efficient assembly, and secure installation of sheet metal systems that meet safety standards and project specifications. Bring your energy, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to deliver exceptional results on every project! Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements and installation procedures. Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools and power tools such as shears, brakes, and welders to fabricate custom components. Install ductwork, roofing systems, flashing, stucco trims, metal studs, and other sheet metal elements on construction sites with precision. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess material needs and ensure proper inventory management for each project phase. Perform heavy lifting safely to transport materials around the site while adhering to safety protocols. Apply caulking, sealing, and finishing techniques to ensure weather-tightness and aesthetic quality of installed systems. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, roofers, and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of all building components. Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on sheet metal installation or related trades such as roofing, framing carpentry, or masonry. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with construction estimating is a plus. Hands-on experience with hand tools (e.g., snips, hammers), power tools (e.g., drills, welders), and fabrication equipment used in metalworking. Knowledge of building codes related to roofing, stucco applications, metal stud framing, plumbing rough-ins, and restoration projects. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely during installation processes; physical stamina is essential. Experience with welding or metal fabrication techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong understanding of construction safety practices combined with handyman experience or general remodeling skills enhances versatility on-site.
