Job Overview Established in 1956, The Vince Hagan Company was the first patented mobile concrete plant batch and continues today with the patented horizontal spiral blade mixer. Vince Hagan designs and manufactures all types of plants including portable dry concrete batch plants, stationary dry concrete batch plants, central mix plants, paving plants, dust collectors, reclaim and conveying systems. We provide one-stop shopping which assures proper interface of all equipment. As the Plant Supervisor, you will oversee the steel fabrication operations ensuring that all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You'll be responsible for managing a team of skilled workers, maintaining high production standards, and addressing any issues that arise. This role requires a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of steel fabrication processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Other responsibilities as assigned by Production Manager and/or Director of Operations Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination between shifts. Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and incidents. Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance. Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the shift, including personnel, equipment, or production challenges. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure they are functioning properly and perform maintenance as needed. Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures. This description is only a guide. Essential Functions:
Perform work standing on concrete 8 hours to 12 hours per day. Willingness to train/work during hours outside of regularly scheduled core shift and flexibility to work additional hours beyond and/or consecutively with core work schedule when needed. Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of any job tasks or positions within the Company as assigned, outside of or in addition to primarily-assigned position, work area, and/or department. Willingness to assist with training and mentoring co-workers. Regular and reliable attendance, appearing on time for each scheduled work day and working all the scheduled work hours. Perform work safely in accordance with all Company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching (temporary variances may be accommodated based on employee's primary assignment). Perform work in heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, and humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gasses, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, loud noise (hearing protection provided and required), and vibration. Work involves climbing ladders and stairs, movement of heavy objects, using pneumatic tools, working with moving machinery and equipment, working near moving mechanical parts, working in cramped quarters, and working above floor level which could include high, precarious places. There is risk of electrical shock associated with this job. Ability to wear the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for this position, including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots with metatarsal guards, face shield, welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket (leather or cloth), and welding apron/chaps. A respirator may also be required. Fall protection Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, and read blueprints and/or other printed instructional materials for guidance and specifications in order to assemble and/or weld products or parts in a correct and efficient manner. Ability to apply common sense. Must complete and maintain forklift operation certification and be able to safely operate a forklift when necessary.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Additional technical or vocational training in steel fabrication or manufacturing is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the steel fabrication or related manufacturing environment. Computer experience required. Bilingual speakers are desired.

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the steel fabrication or manufacturing industry. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. A stable work history with a demonstrated record of reliability and long-term commitment to previous employers. Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $77,855.58 per year
