Manufacturing Supervisor Reports to:Manufacturing Manager Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor within a supplement co-manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating shift handoffs between day and night shifts. This role involves supervising production staff, coordinating with cross-functional departments, and ensuring that production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met.Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and support production line staff. Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.Production Oversight:
Manage daily production schedules to ensure timely completion of work orders. Respond quickly to disruptions or bottlenecks to maintain workflow.Cross-Department Coordination:
Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.Quality Assurance:
Uphold GMP and internal quality standards across all production activities. Partner with QA to implement corrective actions when needed.Process Monitoring & Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of production output, downtime, and issues. Monitor key metrics and report progress to the Manufacturing Manager.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality. Lead or support implementation of improvement initiatives.Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Promote a culture of safety and accountability.SOP Adherence & Development:
Ensure team compliance with standard operating procedures and participate in SOP creation or revision when necessary.Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in the dietary supplement, food, or related industry preferred. Experience with liquid pouches.Skills:
Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking tools. Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements. Ability to drive results and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and moderate noise levels.Shift:
Ideal candidates are willing to work Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm.Job Type:
