Production Manager About Kynetic Metalworks Kynetic Metalworks is a Metal Products Manufacturer based in Spanish Fork, Utah specializing in the production of metal components and products used on building exteriors. We operate precision machinery in a fast-paced shop environment where quality, safety, and efficiency drive everything we do. We are growing and looking for an experienced leader to help us scale our operations. Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day shop floor operations at our Spanish Fork facility. This role is the operational backbone of our production environment — responsible for keeping machines running, orders shipping on time, and a rotating workforce of part-time and full-time employees performing safely and productively. The right candidate thrives in structured environments, leads by example, and brings both process discipline and genuine people skills to the floor. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily shop operations including production scheduling, machine uptime, and order fulfillment Lead, train, and manage a team of skilled and entry-level employees, including onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback Build and maintain clear production schedules to meet customer order deadlines Enforce and champion all shop safety protocols, conducting regular walkthroughs and safety training sessions Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput Monitor performance; coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime Track key operational metrics and report regularly to leadership on production status, staffing levels, and issues Manage workforce scheduling to account for high turnover and variable staffing needs Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and a culture of accountability Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to communicate production capacity and timelines Ensure products meet quality standards before they leave the shop Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment 2+ years in a supervisory or operations leadership role Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate entry-level or high-turnover workforces Strong understanding of production scheduling and shop floor workflow management Solid knowledge of workplace safety standards (OSHA familiarity preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to work effectively with people at all levels Proficiency with basic computer tools for scheduling, reporting, and communication Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal fabrication, building materials, or exterior construction products Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles Experience hiring, onboarding, and developing student or seasonal workers Knowledge of ERP or production management software What We're Looking For Beyond the resume, we want someone who genuinely enjoys leading people — especially the challenge of building a consistent, high-performing team in an environment where turnover is a reality.
