JOB DESCRIPTIONS/DUTIES
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following: Oversees the and manages the day-to-day operations of the HCT Paint Shop & personnel. Ensure that scenic elements are given artistic treatment in accordance with design specifications. Assist in creating and managing paint timelines and budget estimates in conjunction with production schedules, scenic shop teams, assignments, and shop space requirements. Participate as a collaborative member of the build staff specializing in scenic artistry. Ensures that all Paint Shop tools and paint inventory are in good working order. Complete tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager in an efficient and timely manner. Assist other shop departments as needed, including other Production Departments with Load In/Out. Maintaining a safe working environment at all times by adhering to Hale Centre Theatre policies and procedures. Maintain a safe & clean work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
An ability to lead a team. Must be able to demonstrate an advanced working knowledge of scenic painting techniques, and application methods. Extensive knowledge of Texturing techniques. Demonstrate strong communication skills. Must be competent in reading detailed paint elevation drawings. Must be able to work weekdays and occasional weekends. Must be capable of working independently. Experience with scissor lifts. Experience with basic projection technology for paint layout. Experience with Vectorworks is preferred. Possess a strong desire to hone existing skills and a willingness to learn new ones. Be highly resourceful and possess efficient problem solving and time management skills. Successful candidates are required to pass a background and drug screening prior to beginning work. u6uFbaATtp
