Production Manager Pipe Fabricating & Supply Co. Woods Cross, UT 84087 $59,000 - $87,000 a year - Full-time 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday Extended hours and Saturday work may be required depending on backlog and customer requirements Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated critical thinker to join our team as Production Manager and support operations at our ASME-certified union fabrication shop. This role is responsible for plant floor performance, ensuring pipe spool fabrication and coatings meet project deadlines, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards. You will act as a liaison between Production and QC, Engineering, Estimating, Shipping/Receiving, the Paint Shop, Project Management, and Purchasing departments while driving safety, efficiency, and quality. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily shop operations to ensure jobs meet delivery timelines and customer expectations
  • Lead foremen in QC, Fabrication, Shipping/Receiving, Training, Communication, and Schedule/Task Management
  • Coordinate production schedule and customer requirements with foremen as well as understand shop loading to safely and effectively optimize throughput
  • Support QC in following ITPs, coordinating third-party inspections, and managing hold points and shipping releases
  • Support project management and estimating teams with information such as project production status updates, current production schedule, shop fabrication time to complete assemblies or projects, and estimated lead times for specific project requirements
  • Ensure fabrication complies with corresponding industry codes such as
ASME B31.1
& B31.3, API, ASTM, and customer specifications
  • Uphold safety protocols and enforce compliance with OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost control while maintaining high quality Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to safely operate a company vehicle as needed for work-related activities Join us as a Production Manager and be at the forefront of manufacturing excellence!

Qualifications Required:
  • 2-3+ years of leadership experience in pipe fabrication or a related manufacturing environment
  • 2-3+ years of experience in a steel pipe fabrication shop or similar environment
  • Comfortable directing and leading teams, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred:
  • Understanding of ASME, API, ASTM, and customer specification requirements
  • Experience in a union shop environment
  • Familiarity with ITPs, spool tracking, QA documentation, and third-party inspections
  • Undergraduate degree or vocational certification in Engineering, Welding, Fabrication, Construction Management, or related field
