Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing/ Production Supervisor - 2nd shift. This position is a front-line supervisor role and reports directly to the Operations Manager. As the front-line Supervisor, you will primarily support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. You will work in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. You will provide training in "core skill" areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of electronics repair operations, such as High Voltage, Digital, Analog and RF. Your Responsibilities Directs the day-to-day planning, executing, and controlling of resources (people, material, processes, technology, equipment, etc.) required to produce/repair products or services with Operations work content. Ensures department performance aligns with business metrics and implements corrective actions as needed. Responsible for fabrication and sustainment efforts being performed in assigned department. Ensures all assets are properly managed through the process from receipt to shipping. Supports and drives continuous improvements to improve operations, paying particular attention to employee safety, morale, communication assurance and functional teaming. Responsible for facilitating teaming relationships with internal and external customers. Ensures accurate and timely communication between Operations and the support teams. Ensures that the needed resources, tools and training are provided and to Operations personnel. Initiates disciplinary actions in consultation with HR and Operations leadership and performs individual performance evaluations as required. What We Are Looking For Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Leadership, Supervisory, Operations and/or Manufacturing experience required. Ability to successfully lead and/or manage people ideally in a test & manufacturing or electrical/mechanical repair depot. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with a government contractor is ideal.
