40.0 Overview Lead and coordinate the commissioning and validation activities of Light Rail Vehicles under the E-Suite modernization program. The Commissioning Supervisor ensures installation quality, test performance, issue resolution, and effective communication between the depot team, engineering, and the Project Manager. This position serves as the primary on-site technical and operational lead, ensuring project execution meets safety, quality, and schedule objectives. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the commissioning and validation activities of Light Rail Vehicles under the E-Suite modernization program. Ensure installation quality, test performance, issue resolution, and effective communication between the depot team, engineering, and the Project Manager. Serve as the primary on-site technical and operational lead, ensuring project execution meets safety, quality, and schedule objectives. Plan, assign, and supervise daily activities of commissioning technicians and test personnel, ensuring adherence to procedures, drawings, and safety standards. Monitor installation progress and adjust priorities to maintain alignment with project milestones. Mentor and train team members to enhance troubleshooting and documentation skills. Oversee installation and commissioning of E-Suite systems and components on LRVs, performing and verifying routine and validation tests. Lead root-cause investigations, coordinate corrective actions with engineering, and maintain configuration control. Act as the primary on-site contact for customer's technical representatives, providing status updates and participating in meetings and troubleshooting sessions. Review test records, anomaly reports, and corrective actions for completeness and accuracy. Track and report key performance indicators related to test progress, open issues, and manpower. Identify recurring issues and propose process improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Requirements Technical degree or certification in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning, testing, or maintenance of electrical or control systems (rail, industrial, or automotive sectors preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience leading or supervising technical teams in a field or production environment. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including 12VDC-72VDC control logic and subsystem integration. Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and engineering documentation. Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic ability for multi-system environments. Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to interface with customers and internal stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with test documentation standards. Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and safety awareness.
