Position Summary The Hard Boil Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the Hard Boil department across Wilcox Hard Boiled operation. This role is critical to supporting continued production growth, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring smooth plant startup, sanitation turnaround, staffing coordination, and shift transition management. The supervisor will provide leadership during key operational windows, particularly during sanitation, pre-operational inspections, startup activities, and shift changeovers. This position supports the department's strategy of operating two Vacuum Pack machine lines across a five-day production schedule while maximizing maintenance opportunities and minimizing the need for Saturday production.

English (Required) Spanish (Preferred) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise production operations during assigned 8-hour shift in a continuous multi-shift environment. Oversee plant Hard boiled deptartment and ensure timely readiness for production startup. Conduct and verify pre-operational inspections to ensure food safety, quality, and compliance standards are met before startup. Support efficient startup and operation of three cookers and two Multivac packaging lines. Manage staffing, workflow coordination, and production performance during high-volume operations, including 1-pack and 2-pack production runs. Lead and support shift changeover communication to ensure operational continuity between day and night shifts. Monitor production processes to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and downtime goals are achieved. Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to maximize equipment uptime and planned maintenance opportunities. Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for production team members. Promote a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and employee engagement. Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety requirements, sanitation standards, and workplace safety regulations. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (certification required) Support performance management and help improve team efficiency and procedures Work flexible/variable shifts and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications and Requirements Required:
Ability to perform all essential duties safely and effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish preferred). Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
Experience with automated production or packaging equipment, including Multivac systems. Understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. Strong ability to manage priorities during critical production and startup periods. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BRC standards. Basic maintenance and electrical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Skills & Abilities Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods. Fine motor manipulation. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently. Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals. Ability to work in a wet and temperature-variable environment.
