Coordinates the effective use of equipment, facilities, team members, and skill sets in order to meet all safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements. Trains employees and completes training records. Ensures employees are complying with manufacturing process documentation. interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintains proper quality standards on all products being produced on shift. Distributes supplies, takes inventory, and initiates reorder as needed. Job Skills Requirements Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, procedures, and production/quality standards. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal departments to ensure delivery of quality product on time. May require in-depth ability to read, interpret and explain blueprints, engineering drawings, job orders and specifications based on location. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of employees. Advanced ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and production problems. Strong computer skills and familiarity with office productivity software and business control software. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced production environment, often under time constraints. Advises operations management of process improvement ideas, production issues, maintenance items, safety matters, and other information. Follows acceptable employee relation practices and company policies.
