Job Description

Plymouth Tube Company:
a well-established, 5th-generation family-owned manufacturer recently celebrating 100+ years in business. This position will manage, plan, organize, lead and direct maintenance and wastewater personnel and systems to optimize equipment effectiveness, ensure plant safety, and maintain internal and external plant facilities and equipment. This position will ensure that maintenance personnel execute procedures, processes, work instructions, etc. in the manner prescribed while operating in a team-based environment. Will also ensure that the security of the building is maintained and work directly with the team leadership as it pertains to those activities. Value Stream Leader (Production Supervisor) 3rd Shift

  • 7 AM CST The Value Stream Leader is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and financial objectives.
This role supervises hourly production employees, drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops team members, and ensures compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily production activities to meet operational, quality, safety, and cost targets. Develop, coach, and engage production employees to build a high-performing workforce. Foster positive employee relations and maintain compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, employment laws, and company policies. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO, ASME, customer, and other applicable standards and certifications. Conduct accident investigations and implement corrective actions. Manage attendance, timekeeping, PTO, training, and skill development programs. Utilize performance management processes to establish goals, provide feedback, and support employee development. Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular operational reports to leadership. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, inclusion, and operational excellence. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or related field with 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience; OR Associate degree in a manufacturing-related field with 5+ years of supervisory experience, including experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment; OR 5+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a metal-forming/fabrication or industrial manufacturing operation. Preferred Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment. Lean Manufacturing training or experience. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, temperature variations, noise, and other typical industrial conditions.
