Food Manufacturing The Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established food manufacturer seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing activities. This is a hands-on floor leadership position responsible for safely delivering quality products while effectively managing employees, materials, productivity, equipment, and production requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate 2nd-shift production activities Assign work and effectively manage production personnel Ensure adequate materials are available to meet production requirements Manage employee scheduling and staffing requirements Train, coach, motivate, and develop production employees Conduct employee orientation and training Administer company policies, work rules, and applicable labor agreements consistently Maintain compliance with food-safety and quality requirements Ensure compliance with HACCP and USDA requirements Drive achievement of production, yield, labor-cost, and efficiency goals Control waste and inedible product Monitor indirect labor and supply costs Maintain and improve workplace safety Monitor equipment effectiveness and production performance Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes, procedures, facilities, and equipment Complete required production and administrative documentation Communicate and collaborate effectively across departments Support special projects and continuous-improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong leadership and people-management capabilities Ability to motivate and direct production employees Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable holding employees accountable and resolving conflicts Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to work 2nd shift Ability to work 10-hour days and 6-7 day workweeks when required Preferred 1-2+ years of manufacturing experience Food, meat, dairy, beverage, or other regulated food-production experience HACCP / food-safety knowledge USDA-regulated manufacturing experience Union manufacturing experience Conflict-resolution experience Manufacturing ERP experience
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
