The organization designs and manufactures both returnable and expendable packaging systems supporting industries including automotive, aerospace, electronics, heavy equipment, medical equipment, material handling, and industrial manufacturing. With over 25 years in business, the company is known for its collaborative culture, operational agility, engineering-driven problem solving, and commitment to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement. The business partners closely with customers to solve packaging and supply chain challenges through innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. Position Overview The Production Lead will oversee daily production activities while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved. This individual will work closely with operations leadership to drive execution, solve production challenges, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help develop a high-performing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading from the floor while improving operational efficiency and team performance. Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and support daily production plans to meet customer delivery expectations
  • Ensure production activities comply with company, customer, and engineering specifications
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Monitor production quality and proactively identify non-conformances or process concerns
  • Partner with leadership to implement solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and operational performance
  • Communicate production issues, maintenance concerns, and process improvement opportunities to management
  • Support training and development of production associates
  • Assist with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
  • Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production leadership environment
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is required
  • Packaging industry experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required What Success Looks Like Successful candidates will bring a proactive, team-oriented leadership style and demonstrate the ability to drive accountability across safety, quality, delivery, and operational performance.
