Job Description
Saelens Corporation, home of the Diamond Precision brand, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our precision metal manufacturing facility. In this role, you will coordinate production schedules, assign work, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery targets are met. You will coach and develop production teams, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles. Collaborating closely with engineering, quality, and maintenance, you'll help resolve issues quickly and support a culture of innovation, accountability, and precision-focused manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day production activities on the shop floor to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets Coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production schedules to optimize throughput Monitor quality standards and collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve issues Drive continuous improvement using lean tools to reduce waste and improve efficiency Train, coach, and evaluate team members to build skills and accountability Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Track and report key production metrics, taking corrective actions as needed Partner with maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readiness Required Skills Production planning Team leadership Shop floor supervision Lean manufacturing Continuous improvement Quality control Safety compliance Mechanical aptitude Manufacturing ERP/MRP systems Data-driven performance tracking
