Mon-Fri Essential Functions:
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Monitor work areas to ensure all employees are working safely. Provide daily coaching and feedback to all department employees. Increase overall productivity to meet customer requirements. Work with other leaders in regards to manufacturing and quality decisions. Assign work and monitor production orders as they arrive in department. Monitor schedules, rush orders, hot list, call-ins, etc. Author quality response forms. Coordinate overtime postings/schedules. Serve as communication liaison with 2nd shift Area Manager and 3rd Shift Supervisor. Coordinate quality concerns with quality personnel or Customer Service. Provide answers and make decisions related to production and quality. Schedule production and monitor orders to increase overall productivity and quality while simultaneously meeting efficiency goals and customer commitments. Participate in daily scheduling meetings with other lead people to discuss priorities, rush, etc. Identify and implement process improvements and increased productivity opportunities. Enhance internal and external department communication toward creating a cohesive work environment. Participate in monthly department meetings and other meetings as needed to communicate policy, revisions, general updates, etc. Provide backup ECATS responsibilities and resolve issues with Payroll when necessary. Assist the Department Area Manager on the following areas: weekly/daily manning requirements, overtime requirements, quality complaints. Provide input into employee disciplinary issues and performance reviews in a timely manner and in line with employee handbook. Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance. Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business. Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed. Ability to effectively work in teams. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles. Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office and understanding of an ERP system.
