Job Description Team Manager 1st Shift (Neillsville, WI) At Atmus Filtration Technologies, we create clean solutions for a better tomorrow. With decades of experience in filtration innovation, we design and manufacture advanced filtration products that improve performance, reduce environmental impact, and enable a more sustainable future across industries. We are looking for a hands-on and driven Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager to lead 1st shift operations at our filtration manufacturing facility in Neillsville, WI. Onsite 100%. Relocation may be provided to those that qualify and currently live within the US. This position plays a critical role in ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Atmus's core values of Build Trust, Be Inclusive, Have Courage, and Show Caring. The Team Manager will be responsible for leading shift team members, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement across operations. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support 1st shift production team members to meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives. Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and Atmus safety standards. Manage shift-level KPIs including production output, scrap reduction, labor utilization, and downtime. Analyzes KPIs and identifies & facilitates projects to hit desired targets. Champion lean manufacturing initiatives, driving process improvements and operational excellence. Oversee and coordinate shift activities to meet production schedules and customer demands. Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues. Facilitate shift handovers and maintain strong communication with other shift leaders and plant leadership. Conduct regular performance check-ins, provide timely feedback, and support career development of team members. Ensure accurate and timely completion of production documentation and shift reports. Manage attendance, scheduling, and shift staffing to ensure optimal coverage. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing operations leadership. Experience 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; filtration, automotive, or industrial product experience preferred. Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, shift-based environment. Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices. Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency with manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, etc.) is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a standing position and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods. Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs and working in a production environment (noise, temperature, machinery exposure).
