Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our clients 2nd Shift Fabrication operations. This role is responsible for overseeing a skilled team producing fabricated components through welding, cutting, bending, forming, and machining processes. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in fabrication, welding, mechanical troubleshooting, manufacturing, or engineering and excels at leading teams through coaching, communication, and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily fabrication operations, including welding, cutting, forming, bending, and machining processes. Lead and promote a strong safety culture by conducting daily safety meetings, enforcing PPE requirements, and proactively identifying and mitigating workplace hazards. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance development for team leads and production employees while adhering to union work rules and labor agreements. Troubleshoot production and technical issues by identifying root causes and collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to implement effective solutions. Monitor production schedules, maintain workflow, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure daily production targets are met. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, throughput, scrap, work-in-process (WIP), and production performance. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication across the shift. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
