WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Team Lead, you'll be the first level of leadership on the shop floor , helping your team succeed throughout the shift.
Your day-to-day will include:
Lead and support the team — Provide direction, coaching, feedback, and support to employees throughout the shift. Keep the workflow moving — Assign work based on production priorities, schedules, and employee skill levels. Drive production goals — Monitor output, address bottlenecks, and help keep the team on schedule. Lead by example on safety — Reinforce PPE and safe work practices and address unsafe conditions or behaviors. Make quality a priority — Help ensure finished parts meet blueprint specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Coordinate the paint line — Help keep hanging, unloading, washing, painting, and curing processes flowing efficiently. Train & develop employees — Help onboard new employees and cross-train team members on processes and standard work. Keep communication strong — Serve as a key connection between the production team and supervision. Improve the process — Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, workflow, and waste. Solve problems — Help troubleshoot issues with materials, equipment, staffing, tooling, and paint-line processes. Have 3-5 years of experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing. Have previous formal or informal leadership experience . Enjoy working with people and know how to motivate, coach, and hold a team accountable . Can stay organized and make good decisions in a fast-paced production environment . Can read and understand blueprints, work orders, and production documentation . Have strong communication and problem-solving skills. Understand manufacturing safety practices and PPE requirements. Have experience with paint line or powder coating processes . Take pride in quality and paying attention to the details. Are willing to jump in and work alongside your team when needed .
