Job Description

Specific Role:
The Production Supervisor - Weld is responsible for leading welding operations within EMIT's manufacturing facility, ensuring production goals, quality standards, workflow efficiency, and safety expectations are consistently met while supporting and supervising welding personnel on the assigned aisle.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead daily welding aisle operations by executing production schedules, assigning work, coordinating resources, and supporting workflow efficiency. Troubleshoot production and welding challenges while communicating production status, delays, or constraints to leadership. Verify weld quality and blueprint accuracy through inspections and measurements to ensure products meet EMIT and customer standards. Maintain accurate Oseon production statuses, material traceability, and timely completion of production tracking updates. Review timecards, attendance, productivity, and employee performance while providing coaching, feedback, documentation, and accountability support. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment by enforcing PPE, equipment inspections, 5S standards, and safety protocols. Complete Assignar, IT, and maintenance requests promptly and report operational issues impacting production efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or welding certifications preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of welding processes, blueprint reading, and fabrication standards. Ability to interpret technical drawings, measurements, and welding symbols accurately. Experience using ERP/MRP or production tracking systems such as Oseon preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive accountability in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems. Knowledge of workplace safety standards, PPE requirements, and 5S principles.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. repeatedly. Stand, walk, and move for an entire shift. Always use applicable PPE. Follow safety protocols when using tools and handling materials. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
