Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description This role supports a clean, temperature-controlled production line where each team member works within their own workstation. You will handle lubrication liquids in glass bottles, ensuring accurate filling, secure capping, proper sealing, clear labeling, and careful packaging in compliance with regulatory standards. You will rotate across multiple stations, contribute to shipping preparation, and document any quality issues or delays to help maintain consistent product quality and on-time deliveries. Responsibilities Work on a production line within an individual work cell, following established procedures and safety guidelines. Pour lubrication liquid into bottles accurately and efficiently to meet production standards. Cap and seal glass bottles securely to maintain product integrity and prevent leaks. Apply labels to bottles and packaging with attention to accuracy and regulatory requirements. Inspect bottles and packaged products for defects, contamination, or labeling errors and take appropriate action when issues arise. Box, wrap, and pack glass bottles carefully to prevent breakage and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Package and label boxes, then stack them neatly and safely near the shipping area for outbound orders. Assist with general production tasks, including assembly and packaging activities, as needed across different stations. Document any quality issues, defects, or shipment delays clearly and accurately to support continuous improvement and traceability. Support shipping operations by preparing finished goods for shipment and organizing stacked boxes in the designated shipping area. Perform repetitive tasks consistently and maintain a steady workflow throughout the shift. Lift and move boxes or materials up to 20 pounds periodically throughout the day to support production and shipping needs. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and any applicable medical or food-related standards when required. Operate production equipment or machines as assigned, ensuring proper use and basic troubleshooting within your work cell. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to maintain a smooth, efficient, and safe production environment. Essential Skills At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in production line work, packing, or basic machine operation (button pushing). Experience performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds periodically throughout the day. Familiarity with general production, assembly, and packaging processes. Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures in a regulated environment. Comfort working with glass bottles and handling products that require careful packaging. Basic understanding of quality inspection and the importance of documentation. Willingness to rotate between multiple stations and perform a variety of production tasks. Dependable attendance and reliability to support consistent production schedules. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Skokie, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
