Shift:
6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday only. No other shift available. Please only apply if this time works within your schedule.
NOTE:
Occasionally, limited overtime is necessary to complete products for the day. This position works primarily on bakery production, but also helps with deli production as needed. Starting pay in the indicated range depends on experience and skill level. Illusions Food Company is a wholesale bakery located in Anchorage, Alaska. We prepare a large quantity of baked goods and deli items each day, including cookies, muffins, brownies, cakes, bars/squares, biscotti, scones, cinnamon rolls, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Scoop cookie dough, make frostings, frost cinnamon rolls, glaze muffins, etc. Wrap, heat seal and label products. Put incoming ingredients into dry storage or cooler/freezer areas. Rotate stock to ensure freshness. Assist deli production team, as needed. Maintain applicable logs. Follow FDA and food safety guidelines.
STANDARD FOOD HANDLING RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow proper baking and product preparation procedures. Maintain proper storage, identification and organization of products while maintaining optimal freshness. Identify inadequate inventory levels through proper communication channels and maintain accurate recordkeeping of products prepared. Ensure proper equipment and facility cleaning practices and maintain food code compliant facility at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous deli and/or food service experience preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred. Accurately count, multiply, subtract, add, divide. Commercial / wholesale bakery manufacturing production experience preferred. State of Alaska or Municipality of Anchorage Food Workers Card (within 30 days of hire) and/or ServSafe Certification Position is located in Anchorage, Alaska. Applicants MUST be available to physically work at the bakery from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
NO OTHER SHIFTS ARE AVAILABLE. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Include, but are not limited to: balancing, bending, carrying, climbing (foot stool or ladder), kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, squatting, standing, twisting, walking. Ability to carry/lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 25 pounds at all times. Exposure to extreme temperatures (cooler, freezer, oven, outside, etc.) Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours daily.
