Job Description

Production Assistant / Customer Load-Out The Production Assistant / Customer Load-Out's primary role is to assist with daily production and preparing customer orders for pickup. This position ensures materials are accurately staged and provided to customers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role works closely with production to support workflow and maintain a positive customer experience.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Unload flat stock Cut flat stock to the correct size Load coils onto the roll forming machine Assist customers with loading and unloading any orders by hand or with forklifts Ensure the work and shop area remain neat and tidy Keep the yard clean and organized Ensure trash is placed into dumpster before trash pickup day Keep all material outside covered with paper and/or extra weight Move trailers in and out of shop for Panel/Sheet Production Move completed panel orders to appropriate storage Direct customers to park in appropriate area for loading Shovel walkways Assist any Operator or Assistant Operator in tasks Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in handling materials and operating equipment Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Must be able to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical demands listed below Dependable team player with positive attitude and the ability to follow directions Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Qualifications Fork lift operational experience, 1 year Sheet metal experience General construction knowledge
