Job Description
Manufacturing Associate responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, maintaining production areas, supporting equipment maintenance, and performing confined-space tank cleaning after required training. Job Requirements Ability to follow safety, quality, security, and operational policies and procedures. Ability to read and follow posted facility signage. Basic math skills applicable to manufacturing operations. Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures. Understanding of hazard communication requirements. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and equipment operator manuals. Ability to demonstrate competency in required safety rules and regulations after training. Ability to work in confined spaces after completing required confined-space training. Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE). 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision. Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel. Ability to perform repetitive and physically strenuous work. Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to work in a plant environment with varying temperatures and physical conditions. Preferred Skills Forklift experience. Experience reading and working with SOPs. Experience working with chemicals or in light chemical manufacturing. Experience with confined-space work. Experience with production equipment maintenance or autonomous maintenance activities. Job Responsibilities Follow standard operating procedures and applicable safety regulations. Select, use, and maintain required PPE for assigned tasks. Operate production equipment according to established procedures and training. Monitor product quality throughout the production process. Report potential out-of-compliance conditions. Perform production equipment startup and shutdown activities. Maintain accurate production counts and required documentation. Keep production lines clean, organized, and free of hazards. Grease, adjust, and clean designated production equipment components. Support autonomous maintenance activities. Perform general labor duties based on production requirements. Participate in required safety meetings and safety audits. Train Laborers and new Manufacturing Associates on assigned production tasks. Support multiple production-line positions as required. Clean mix tanks on a rotating schedule after completing required confined-space training. Use shovels, air tools, and other designated equipment during confined-space tank cleaning. Follow all confined-space entry, safety, and equipment requirements during tank-cleaning activities.
