Essential Functions:

Receives iron from iron transporter May or may not add additional alloy or inoculant Removes slag from ladle Operates ladle to mold pouring position Iron pourer may pour hunter or airset floor molds Pours mold Must have good knowledge of visual metal temperature and operation of metal handling hoist May operate overhead crane For each job card check data, including temperature information, ladle fade timer and test bars needed Monitor temperature of iron for each ladle of iron Clean weights, jackets and ladles as required Performs housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment Pour Test Bars as needed with the lab personnel Advise supervisor of any problem with jobs or equipment Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Lift 70 lbs. on an occasional basis Standing - frequent to continuous Walking - occasional to frequent Works in constant heat radiation from ladle at all times Must be able to communicate with other employees Perform at a pace to keep up with production Comply with Company's safety policy & procedures Abide by the established foundry working requirements (attitude, technique, efficiency, safety, attendance & housekeeping

Required PPE:

Steel toed step in boots (no laces), non-synthetic clothing (no Under Armour), chaps, spats, apron, jacket

From $16.00 per hour
